Parade of Cuteness

This weekend, I took Friday off as a sanity/necessity day to hang out with my gal. As I walked up to the Cheeseboard with Cam in the ergo at 8 am simply to buy bread for that evening's dinner (and a ginger cookie), I felt very content. The day wasn't all for fun and games. We also had a check up with Cam's dermatologist at UCSF. They asked to see her once a year, so this is the yearly appt. They said that while the birthmark has darkened, mostly due to sun exposure, there is no need for concern and they'll see us again in a year. The doc said that he's seen birthmarks of this kind fade or even go away over time. I am not sure if that's what will happen for Cam, but either way we're thrilled that it poses no threat. That's great news. We also got to see the picture that they took of Cam last year to document the birthmark - she was only 4 months old!. It is one of the more dear shots of our girl and I am contemplating asking them for a copy.

Contrary to how the blog may appear, each and every moment around here isn't filled with the uncontrollable laughter of a dapple-cheeked toddler; we have our moments too. Most of those moments are in the wee hours of morning. But, we are blessed with one heck of a gal.

Joel and I have a date night tonight and a whole day open tomorrow with no football! Yeah! Then Auntie Jen arrives in a week. Yeah! We've had a string of beautiful days here, but the rain is supposed to start back up again this week. Boo! But then Cam can try out her new rain jacket! Yeah!
