We're back in the Bay! After a 12-day stint in Minnesota and Wisconsin, we've come home to two uncharacteristically hot days. Summer has finally arrived, just in time for me to go back to work and swelter in my airconditioning-less classroom. Yeah!<-- insert sarcasm here.
On our last night in GB, we braved the dramatic rainstorm and got Friday Fish. Ah, there's nothing quite like a perch plate and a Leinie's to remind you of what you can't get in California. Cam got to hang with her Great-uncle Jack too.

We had a family reunion and then a reunion of all the Onalaska girls and their babies. I failed to take pictures at either event, though both were reunions of people I love and rarely get to see.
On the way to the airport in Madison, Cam made her second visit to her only living great-grandparent, Mary Lou Banks. Grandma was thrilled with a little lap time, but Cam was so rambunctious after the 2 1/2 hour drive that she was too much for Grandma's lap.

For those of you who bore witness to Cambria's interesting developments during our visit such as the head shake and the bouncing in the bouncing chair, she now has a few more tricks up her sleeve.
Cam is lying on her back and scooting by pushing herself backwards with her legs. She doesn't go far, but in the crib she runs out of real estate pretty quickly.
Her rolling is becoming more of a means of transportation too. She nearly rolled herself off the changing table today. We'll have to be more careful there.
She is pushing herself up onto her hands and feet, though with help and not for long. I think this little girl will be a crawler before long. Baby proof that house!
Grandma and Grandpa Banks bought Cambria some fun new bath toys while we were in Minneapolis. Now, Cam is enjoying them here during her nightly bath time. Well, maybe Joel is enjoying them more than Cam.
Cam's first day with the nanny at Mira's house was today. She was only there for a half day, 8-1. Joel and I both dropped her off today, though in the future, Joel will be dropping her off and I will be picking her up. Cam and little Mira, who is Cam's age, sat on the rug and stared each other down, and then started sucking happily on refrigerator magnets together. They're a very cute pair and I hope this is a friendship in the making.
I am back to work on Monday, though I went in today for a bit. I am feeling pretty sad about how little I'll see my little girl. Saying "a bit" is an understatement.
