Happy Birthday Jen!

Wherever you are Jen, I hope you're diving to your heart's content and having a truly relaxing birthday.

All is well with us. We had a nice weekend. On Saturday, we headed into SF to go to the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park. It was a beautiful day, a little overcast, which kept the wind down. It did take us over an hour to find a place to park, but it was worth it. We just put out our blanket, had some snacks and let Cam practice her crawling. She enjoyed the people watching too, but I think the highlight of her day was chewing on the program.
On Sunday, we (well mostly Joel) watched the Packers win and then we did some shopping. The unfortunate news of the weekend is that I lost my wallet. It was a definite "DOH" moment. I put my wallet on top of the car to put Cambria into her carseat, but then I left the wallet there and we drove away. It didn't take me long to figure out what had happened, but upon driving back the route we had come, I found nothing. I cancelled my credit cards quickly and chalked it up to the insanity that juggling a child and one million child-related accessories causes. I told Joel it looks as though I'll need to simply start carry my own purse again, instead of relying on Cam's diaper bag. Monday evening, I returned from work to find that someone had taped my driver's license to our mailbox, saying that they had found it in the bike lane in Emeryville, not far from where I lost it. That was nice of them. The rest of the stuff is gone. The real tragedy is the 4 cutie little pictures of Cam that I just put into my wallet. Boo... I hate to think of some slimy dude going through my wallet and seeing my little girl. Yuck. Oh well... life goes on, right?

On Monday, I got called a "bitch" by a 14-year old girl. So... there's that.

Cam is getting stronger very quickly. Her crawling is getting faster and easier. Today, I put her on her play mat and then walked into her room to put away some things. A moment later, a little girl came peeking around the corner, with the biggest grin on her face. We'll have to get used to this, and we definitely have some baby proofing to do.

She's also very keen on pulling herself to standing, and even walking around with us holding onto her hands. She may have been a late crawler, but I think she'll be an early walker. But still no teeth.

As for Joel and myself, we are adjusting constantly to an ever-changing child. I can definitely see how important it is for couples for function as a team when they have a child. For Real!

And Grandma Sooz bought Cam a bubbles wand last time we were home. I busted it out the other day as a means of distraction during Cam's bath and she loved it! Good thinking Grandma Sooz!

Love you all!
