Time Flies

Wow, does time fly. Here we are staring down Halloween already! I remember being hugely pregnant this time last year in my costume and going to Marnie and Patrick's Halloween/Patrick's b-day party. Now, we have a 10-month old (nearly) and M & P have a 2 day old! Congrats M & P.

I am home sick today, but not too sick to update the blog. In fact, I might not have another chance for a while. We're in the middle of an October whirlwind of visitors: Frozenas last weekend and Grandma Sooz and Aunt Kay this weekend.

We've been busy. Last week I took off Friday, the day after my birthday. It was my gift to myself: a day with my little gal and no one else. Well, actually I paired up with my friend Becky and her son Eli to go to the Oakland Zoo. It was a great outing and we're thinking of getting a year's family pass. Cam was a fan of the primates the most. This little monkey below put on quite a show for us. She also saw elephants, giraffes, a sun bear, baboons, chimps (who were more than a little violent) and all kinds of other good stuff. I think she loved it, but so did I.
Saturday, Cam and I hit up our favorite swim class and then in came the Frozenas. We had a great B-day celebration (for myself and Jen) at Burma Superstar. MMMmmmm. I am salivating at the memory. Thanks Frozenas!

Unfortunately, Sunday brought me down with an allergy attack that has turned into this cold or whatever it is I have, but everyone else watched the Packers lose again and then went to the Spice of Life Festival on Shattuck.

The Frozenas left yesterday and Sooz and Kay come in tomorrow. Yea for family visits!

Cam is growing and changing so fast. She has started doing some of the signs that we do with her and that Zulda does with her all day. She has started pointing at things curiously too, which gives us a good opportunity to tell her what things are named. She also just likes to point to me and wait for me to pop her little finger into her mouth.
Since I was home sick today, I was able to witness the cutest thing ever. Cam takes a little nap each morning on her pops' chest. I absolutely love it.
We're looking forward to Halloween, Cam's first. Sadly, Joel will miss it as he'll be in GB for a friends wedding. Cam is going to be a squirrel, and Amy and I are already nuts so it will all work out. Joel calls Cam "my little squirrel" on account of her cheeks!
