A lot going on...

Yes, a lot...

Last weekend we were in Temec with Jess, Michael and the kids. Cam and the kids were fast friends, with Trip showing an effusive kind of affection, and Regan a temperate tolerance for Cam. It was fun to watch Cam and Regan play together, really independently but in the same room. They did take two baths together, both of which were aborted early due to Cam pooping in the tub, something that she curiously has never done at home! Here they play in the water on Jess's patio.
Cam thoroughly enjoyed Regan's wonderland of a playland in the garage. It really could keep Cam occupied for hours and hours.
One of my favorite most recent pics. I think we must have accidentally come home with a number of those party beads. Well... every day is a party in our house!
Trip shows a more hands-on kind of affection for my girl. He would carry her around, hug her, hold her... what a sweet little guy. He would try to comfort her if she was fussing in her car seat. What a great little buddy.
Cam is growing and developing by leaps and bounds. Her vocabulary multiplies like gremlins each time I turn my back. She mimics the words we say. Today I said, "backpack" and she mimicked with a pretty adorable "ba pa." Also, the other day, as I counted out the scoops to make my morning oatmeal, I counted out "one... two..." and Cam shouted out with a smile, "theeeee."

Today we spent a good part of the day at Stinson Beach. It was a little windy - our umbrella blew away twice - but otherwise the sand was warm and it felt good to stretch out on the beach wearing considerable less clothes that we have of late.
Cam absolutely adores the beach, though the water was a bit to cold for her to enjoy today. The sand, however, kept her having fun for a good few hours.
Joel developed a new corn toss derivative named "Throwing Rocks." He is looking forward to sharing that one with future fellow beach goers!
I am in the final stretch of the school year and am feeling a bit as if there is end in sight. I am also feeling OK for the first time in months. I finally went to the doctor last week and got a course of antibiotics and steroids. Ah, modern medicine. I caught myself today thinking of the previous 6-8 weeks and how terrible I felt and thinking how lucky I am to feel good and enjoy the day. So, we're coming out of a rough stretch in that respect.

We love all our fam: recent visitors and soon-to-be visitors and wish-you-were-coming-soon visitors!
