Mother's Day, Part Two

My second Mother's Day, already. I told a woman in line with me for ice cream today that I feel like my life went into warp speed the moment Cam was born. It really is true. She grows and changes so fast...

I know that she's supposed to develop and grow like a weed (a beautiful weed), but I find myself sad with each new stage that makes her a little less dependent upon me.

Cambria has a gift for making people smile. Today, at the restaurant, when Michael Jackson came on, she danced in the aisle, spinning in circles, stomping her feet and flailing her arms. People walking by danced with her, while others clapped or just smiled.

Cam loves her new piggy bank, obsessively. We have to take it away and hide it, usually to the accompaniment of much wailing and tears. She sits and puts in the coins, pretends to put in the coins, shakes the pig... it goes on forever. I interpret this as Cambria having financial savvy that will spell success for her future.

Joel surprised me this Mother's Day with tix to see Eddie Vedder in June, for which I am very excited. Yeah for Joel!
