Cookies and pickles

I made some cookies yesterday when Auntie Mimi was visiting. Amy loves Auntie Mimi's visits. She holds her arms out to her and wants to be held by her. It's very sweet.

Having the extra set of arms around made it possible to make some cookies. The purpose for the cookies is tripartite: our neighbor's b-day, rewarding my students who have perfect summer school attendance, and finally, the last reason is below.
Cam enjoyed her sliver of cookie immensely as is evidenced by the chocolate smeared face the fact that she is giving the sign for "more."

They are so good and so easy. I change the recipe to use whole wheat flour however.

Our little gal gets more and more personality and attitude everyday. She currently is on a pickle jag. She loves the baby gherkins.

She's not sleeping through the night since High Sierra, much to our chagrin. What a roller coaster of sleep we have with this one. We tried to cry it out last night for the 5 millionth time, but after she cried for an hour and a half, I caved and let her lay down next to me. Ugh.

Parenting is humbling.
