An Update

Much is new to the Berkeley Frozena household. I am now sleeping in my bed all night long and Cam in her crib. We started sleep training through the night last week and it has been going quite well. The first two nights were harrowing; we had to listen to her cry and only periodically go in to offer comfort, but not pick her up or nurse her. Now she sleeps from 7pm until around 6am with a feeding at 9:30pm to help her make it through the night. She is doing very well. We occasionally hear her whimper or cry a little, but she really doesn't need any comforting. We have been waking up to hearing her playing in her crib, cooing and giggling. What a strong little gal.

Now that the sleeping mission is accomplished, or at least on it's way to being so, we are on to the next mission of getting Cam on the bottle before I go back to work next week. It's been difficult. Joel has been greeting Cam with a bottle the last few mornings when she gets up, but her iron resolve just holds out until she is delivered to Mommy's boob. We'll persevere and try a new tactic tomorrow with Auntie Amy.
We have now also tried apples and avocado with Cam, neither of which she is a fan of. She started to make the "ick" face even with the rice, so we're giving her a break on that for now, seeing as there are so many other changes in her life at the moment. I think sweet potatoes will be next though.

This weekend Joel, Cam, Didge and I are off to the Russian River to go camping and celebrate Father's Day. Cam's first camping trip! The first of many.
