This morning, Cambria said "I love you" and sat in the corner for her first time-out, all before 7am. Our girl is growing up quick and pushing us and testing her boundaries. The real work of parenting is starting to begin... boundaries, consequences, etc. Yikes! I can see that she's trying to see what she can get away with. She gives me a sly look out of the side of her eyes just before she does something she shouldn't. Right now, throwing food on the floor over the side of the high chair is our major battle. I am sure in 16 years, I will wish for problems that simple.
Cam's favorite words, aside from the ever present "no!" are now, "Alright" which is hilarious. She also now says "juice" and "nice." She loves to say, "MIMI!" which I think refers equally to all three of her aunts.
As for my recovery from MRSA, I have about two days left on antibiotics and then within a few days will see if they have done the trick. I am washing my hands every 5 minutes (almost literally), disinfecting the house at every turn and washing anything that will fit in the washing machine. This is a lot of work. So much for a relaxing few weeks of summer to gear up for the next school year. Ugh...
Tomorrow, Auntie Jiji arrives! Cam will be thrilled for a new playmate. After the Amazing Zulda's departure, I am afraid Cam's a bit bored. When Jen leaves, the Grandpa Banks arrives fresh off of a trip to Sturgis.
Love you all and we will do our best to keep you posted on the Berkeley goings-on.
:) Ellie
