This Holiday break has flown by! It's hard to believe that tomorrow is the last of 2 weeks of vacation.
The below pic features Cam's refrigerator box fort. Her enthusiasm for this indoor-fort has waned quickly, unfortunately as she always says, "too dark!" and doesn't really want to hang out in there unless I squeeze myself - with some effort - into the fort and hang out with her.
Grandpa Mike had a nice visit with us, with the benefit of staying at the Sinclaire's. He was so close he could just walk over every morning and have breakfast with us before beginning the day. Cam and Grandpa Mike bonded over the lovely homemade playdough that the Temecula Hoenes made for us.
It's hard to tell if Cam or Grandpa Mike had more fun with the playdough!
We had some nice time with Grandpa Mike, going to the park and the zoo, watching the entire first season of Walking Dead, and eating numerous delicious meals made by that young, talented, attractive kitchen faerie!
Christmas Day Cam started to come down with a rather nasty cough, that resulted in a few nights of bad sleep around these parts - coughing until puking. Luckily, it passed in two or three days, but Xmas day Mama had to do a run for the saline nasal mist - everyone's favorite!
Christmas was quite the boon for our gal. As we all know, it is way more fun to shop for a toddler than it is for adults, so it seems we all focused our gift-giving on her! She loves it! Between xmas and her B-day, she made out like a bandit!
It was a bit of a skype-a-thon at our house throughout the few days of present-opening, but Cam received so many thoughtful, beautiful and fun gifts. I wish she was old enough to write her own thank yous!
It's hard to beat the excitement of a toddler on her b-day however. We hope the below photo taken by Auntie Mimi delights you as much as it does us... OK, I have tried several times to upload this video, but I think it is too big. I'll figure out another way.
Tomorrow is our last day of vacation. I entered the vacation with the greatest intentions of doing all sorts of things during Cam's nap to get myself caught up at work and prepared for the New Year. As it turns out, being a full-time mama is no joke. I took more than one nap while Cam napped and in general forgot about the Mrs. Frozena part of my life very effectively for most of the break - not hard to to when you have a distraction as cute and energy-intensive as Cambria Belle.
Happy New Year to you all!
