This cutie picture is Cambria enjoying her new book from Grandma Sooz and Papa Banks. Thanks. She loved it so much she tried to put every page in her mouth!

For the 4th of July weekend, Joel, Cam and I trekked up to Quincy, CA for the High Sierra Music Festival. It was four days and nights of camping and all-day long concerts. It was pure Joel heaven, which is good because we celebrated his birthday on the 4th while at the festival.
It was a long 4 1/2 hour drive to get there, but
little Cam did really well. She even took a bottle from me while she was sitting in her car seat! We camped and caravanned with our neighbors and friends the Sinclaires, who have a one-year old named Milo. It was nice to be teamed up with a family who had a baby too. Plus, they are just cool people and we were thrilled for the company.
We attended a lot of great concerts and Cam tagged along for it all. When at the concerts, she wore her little earmuffs. Most of the time she fell asleep with them on and Joel and I were able to groove to the music.
The concert-goers around us were an interesting mix of dirty hippies, burnouts, old hippies, rednecks and yuppies - not sure where we fall in that continuum. We were in the family campground, which, as we found, was only mildly family centered. We discovered this around 2 am when our tent neighbors began to hit the nitrous tank and the bong simultaneously. There were a lot of morning yogis, which you can see in the picture. Joel and Mike opted for drinking beer in the warrior position, but same difference, right?
Plus, there was this kind of concert goer!
The next weekend, this past one, we got in the car again to bust a move down to Santa Barbara area for a wedding of Joel's co-worker, Romeo. It was a beautiful wedding in the Hartley Botanical garden outside of Simi Valley.
We left on Friday night, putting Cam in the car as she should have been going into the crib, and we made it as far as San Luis Obispo. We got up the next morning to get the rest of the way down, with a lunch-time pit stop in Ventura.
The wedding was nice and I think it meant a lot to Romeo to have Joel there representing Covington and Burling. This was Cam's 3rd wedding. Wow, Party Girl!
Now we're home picking up the pieces of 2 consecutive weekends away. We have the Frozenas arriving this wednesday and Jen arriving on Friday. Yeah!
Cam is changing and getting stronger by the day. She loves going in the swing and is almost able to sit on her own. She is loving more and more solid foods. She ate peas tonight! She actually puked after the first taste, but after that, she loved them. So, now she eats rice, pears, prunes, carrots and peas. What a big girl. I just can't believe how big she is getting.
Love you all and hope you enjoy the pics.
