Cinco de Mayo

Happy Cinco de Mayo to you all!

I hope you're all knocking back margaritas and drinking tequila! or Tequiza? in honor of the special day, Joel and I are having some tacos. MMMmmm... Margaritas? maybe next year.

Cam and I met with a potential nanny share situation today. She is a Tibetan woman and we'd share her with another 8 month old boy, though he'll be 1 year by then. She was a very nice woman and Cam was very happy for a short stint hanging out with her. Next step: we'll meet with her and Joel and I will get to interview her more formally. It's a big decision considering that 1/2 of my paycheck will go to this person and I am entrusting my daughter's life to her. Also, I am investigating a few other situations, so keep us in your thoughts. It is not fun to think of our little Cambria Belle with anyone but me!

It has been an eventful week around here so far. We started sleep training on Monday. For those of you who don't know, sleep training involves "crying it out." Monday, at bedtime, Cam cried for 15 minutes; Tuesday, 30 minutes; tonight, less than 10 min. She cried it out at her naps today too for less than 5 minutes. Things are going well we think. We're not having her cry it out all night long yet. I am responding to her cries and feeding her after 10pm, but that will come eventually. We're proud of how our little girl is adjusting to these changes.

We think we'll be trying solid food for the first time tomorrow night! Yeah. Rice cereal!

The below video is in honor of Cinco de Mayo.
