New Tricks

Cam got a new toy for her room! It is occurring to me that few of you know what her room looks like, so here's a pic. You can see we have a new mobile over her crib. It is musical and moves and she is fascinated.

The video gives you a little view of our home today, bringing you as close as you can be without a flight! How lucky I am to get to walk up to the crib to find her several times a day. She is beginning to wake up happy, instead of crying. I'll walk up to the crib and she'll see me and giggle and squirm instead of howling until she is picked up like she used to.

She's growing up in all kinds of ways. She has farts and belches that a grown man would be proud of. She is awake for much longer periods of time and definitely has a new need for stimulation. She is grabbing her rattle and putting as many things in her mouth as she can. I will have to go out and get some teething toys to keep up with her new fascination.

You can see in the video, that she is in the process of deciding which of her fingers will be "the one." She sucked her thumb for a moment the other day, but seems undecided.

We're getting many more walks now too as Cam is very happy to be facing out in her Bjorn. I was even able to go to the grocery store with her in the Bjorn. That is nice and makes the two of us a bit more mobile.
