We made it!

We've arrived in Wisco! Yesterday began with an early 5:00 wake up call to get off and to SFO for a 8:40 departure. Seeing as Cam and I were traveling alone, we wanted to make sure that we had plenty of time for mishaps or trials. Cambria fell asleep in the car on the way to the airport. We checked in with no problems or delays and proceeded to security. At security, someone waved me over at the end of the line to a special line reserved for people traveling with strollers or infants or probably just for people who look like they're going to hold things up. Lucky us, we budged right to the front of the line. I had to wake up Cam to take her out of her carseat for security, but she seemed excited to see what was going on around her and not too bothered by all the hubub.

Cam fell back asleep again before take off and slept well into the flight. She woke up, got a diaper changed on the ground, and went back to sleep for another nap. She woke up on the way down and nursed happily. Round #1 successful.

Round #2 was not quite as happy of a ride for the little girl. She cried on boarding, cried on the way up, and then cried for the first 20 minutes of the flight. I did get her to pass out for 20 minutes, only to wake up and cry the rest of the way down. The beautiful thing was the nice, kind people all around me. The woman next to me fetched items from my bag for me and jostled toys in front of Cam to try to pacify her. The couple next to me offered to hold her and offered sympathy. And a kind father had my stroller and car seat all set up and ready for me to go when I disembarked. The same couple pushed my stroller to the gate where Grandma Sooz was eagerly waiting to take over. That is some Wisconsin hospitality right there.

Then Cam cried most of the stormy car ride home to Holmen. One long day. You'd think after all the fuss she'd sleep the whole night through! Ha ha. Grandpa did though! :)

All in all, the day was a success. I am not excited to do it again, but I know it is doable. Luckily I have one heck of a sweet little darling.

Now we're enjoying the love and cuddles from Grandparents Banks. Hope you all enjoy the video!
